Mr. Haskell Thompson

Owner/Operator

Haskell Thompson is the owner and operator of our Fred Astaire Studio. He has been with Fred Astaire since 1974 and is certified in American, International and Theatrical styles of dances. He is also a Theater Arts Champion, and a Finalist in American Rhythm. Haskell has also received numerous awards for Top Teacher and Top Manager. He is always ready to lend some helpful advice whether it is to a student looking to better their dancing, or a teacher needing some new material. He is always there to help, which is why Fred Astaire of Charlotte is such a wonderful place to better your dancing.

Ms. Alicia Priolette

Executive Assistant

Alicia is the executive assistant here at Fred Astaire Charlotte. She is always able to help out with any questions you may have about our school and scheduling your lessons. She will always make sure that whenever you walk into our school you feel right at home.

Mr. Bryon Chandler

Dance Director

Bryon has been with Fred Astaire for over 10  years. He is certified in American style Smooth and Rhythm dances in the Fred Astaire curriculum and holds Championship titles throughout the South Central region of Fred Astaire. Bryon is also our Dance Director in charge of making sure that every lesson you take is fun, energetic and easy. He is currently ranked 4th in the American Mixed Novice division and 5th in the American Closed Smooth division in the region.

Mr. Jason Manus

Supervisor

Jason has been with Fred Astaire Studios since May of 2004. He has had prior dance training with other dance studios and coaching from many different champions of dance. He is certified in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances and specializes in Country Western 2-Step and Swing.

Mr. Robbie Magnolia

Instructor

Robbie has been teaching since August of 1999 with a variety of studios. He is competent in a variety of dances in the American and International Styles and has several teaching certificates with a variety of syllabuses. He has had hours of coaching with several different dance champions. His specialties include East Coast Swing/Lindy, Nightclub Salsa, and Wedding Prep performances. He is also currently ranked 1st in the American Novice division in the South Central region.

Ms. Holly Blanton

Instructor

Dance has been a part of Holly's life since she was 4 years old. Along with a thorough theatre background, her dance training includes jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, and belly dance. She has danced social ballroom in Washington DC, New York, and Atlanta before joining the Fred Astaire Charlotte staff.

Mr. Jesus Morales

Instructor

Jesus has been with Fred Astaire Charlotte since October, 2006. He is certified in American Social Smooth and Rhythm dances. Jesus is also fluent in Spanish and is available upon request.

Ms. Lynne Parker

Instructor

Lynne started ballroom dancing career with Fred Astaire in 1979. She is a seasoned veteran of ballroom. Lynne has Teaching certificates in American and International styles of dancing. Although she specializes in social dance preparation, she has also trained many students for competitive dancing over the years as well as competing at many different events herself in the professional division.

Mr. Aaron Toliver

Instructor

Aaron has been a member of the Fred Astaire Charlotte team since January 2008. His experience in musical theater has given him an elaborate background in dance and musical interpretation. Aaron is also certified to Fred Astaire standards in American Smooth and Rhythm dances.
